April 7, 2026 General Municipal Election Information
The Polk County Clerk’s office will be open from 8:00 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 4, 2026, for those wishing to cast absentee ballots for Tuesday’s April 7, 2026 General Municipal Election.
The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person at the clerk’s office is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election, Monday, April 6, 2026.
Those casting absentee ballots by mail must be sure their written request for a ballot arrives at the Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Voters should be sure the request is signed, state the reason for voting absentee and provide an address to which the ballot should be sent.
The Permanantly Disabled absentee ballots have been processed and will mailed out after Absentee voting begins on February 24, 2026.

VOTER PHOTO ID INFORMATION
