The absentee ballots for the November General Election will be ready for voting on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.  The Polk County Clerk’s office will be open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday and open through the lunch hour for absentee voting.  Those casting a ballot by mail must make sure their written and signed request states the reason for voting absentee, an address to where the ballot should be mailed.  Those requesting ballots by mail must make sure their written request for a ballot arrives at the County Clerk’s office by 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2024, to be processed.  The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person at the County Clerk’s office is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election, Monday, November 4, 2024.  The County Clerk’s office will also be open on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The Permanently Disabled list has been processed been mailed to those voters.

Wednesday, October 9, 2024, is the last day to register to vote for the November General Election.  Any questions regarding registering or voting, please contact the County Clerk’s office at 417-326-4031.

August 6, 2024 Primary Election Information

Voting absentee for the August Primary Election will begin on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.  The Polk County Clerk’s office will be open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday and open through the lunch hour for absentee voting.

Those casting an absentee ballot by mail must make sure their written and signed request states the reason for voting absentee, an address to which the ballot should be mailed to and please indicate which party ballot you wish to receive (Republican, Democratic, Libertarian or Non-Partisan).

Those requesting ballots by mail must make sure their written and signed request for a ballot arrives at the County Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, to be processed.  The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person at the County Clerk’s office is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election, Monday, August 5, 2024.  The County Clerk’s office will also be open on Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The Permanently Disabled list is being processed and will be mailed to those voters.

Wednesday, July 10, 2024, is the last day to register to vote for the August Primary Election if not already registered in the State of Missouri. Any questions regarding registering or voting, please contact the County Clerk’s office at 417-326-4031.

April 2, 2024 General Municipal Election Official Results

Official Results

The absentee ballots for the April General Municipal Election will be ready for voting on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.  The Polk County Clerk’s office will be open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday and open through the lunch hour for absentee voting.

Those casting a ballot by mail must make sure their written and signed request states the reason for voting absentee and an address to which the ballot should be mailed.  Those requesting ballots by mail must make sure their written request for a ballot arrives at the County Clerk’s office by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024.  The deadline for casting an absentee ballot in person at the County Clerk’s office is 5:00 p.m. the day before the election, Monday, April 1, 2024.  The County Clerk’s office will also be open for absentee voting on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The Permanently Disabled list is being processed and will be mailed to those voters on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Wednesday, March 6, 2024 is the last day for new registrations in order to vote for the April General Municipal Election.  Any questions regarding registering or voting, please contact the County Clerk’s office at 417-326-4031.
